San Clemente is located on the coast of California in Orange County. San Clemente is a great getaway for those who are looking for a peaceful town and a little sunshine. Avenida Del Mar is located in downtown San Clemente and is a shoppers paradise. This street is known as the beating heart of San Clemente or  the “Spanish Village by the Sea,” whichever you prefer. Del Mar street is just a few minutes walk from the San Clemente Pier and offers both day and night activities.

At the very end of Del Mar street, just a stroll away, you’ll find the San Clemente Pier. The pier is surrounded by miles and miles of sandy beaches, crashing waves, surfers paddling out, and our favorite part…the famous clock tower. You’ll also see and can take part in fishing off the pier! There will be fishermen lining the sides of the pier waiting for their catch of the day.

Once you have taken in the view and enjoyed all that it offers, take a break for a bite to eat. There are plenty of restaurants from fast food to sit-down dining. Most of these also have a lovely view of the ocean if you’re not quite done enjoying the view.

This trail begins at the North Beach train station and runs five miles south towards San Clemente State Beach. It is perfect for those of you who want to exercise while enjoying the view. Along the beach trail you’ll pass by the pier, T-Street, the downtown district, a few different parks, volleyball courts, and many restaurants.

The trail is also pet-friendly! So make sure not to leave your furry friends out of this adventure. They also provide water and doggy bags along the way to keep the area clean and your pet hydrated. Public restrooms are also spread out along the trail for all of the two legged walkers.

With the ocean breeze and the cool nights, this trail is perfect during any time of the day!

T-Street Beach

T-Street is known as one of the best surfing spots in Orange County. So if you like to surf, this is where you’re going to want to go. It is located at the south of the San Clemente Pier and can be identified by the pedestrian bridge. Whether you’re a surfer or not, there are tons of things to do on T-Street. They provide restrooms, concessions, barbecue grills, fire pits, and of course perfect waves. We suggest to check Surfline for up-to-date reports on what the waves will be, before heading out.
