Big Spending the Holidays in Big Bear


The 4th Annual Big Bear Turkey Trot

November 24th, 2016 from 9:00am to 1:00pm

The 4th Annual Big Bear Turkey Trot consists of 3-mile, 6-mile, and 9-mile runs on Thanksgiving Day with the start/finish lines located at Meadow Park. This is a fun event for the whole family. The course is a relatively flat 3-mile loop through the neighborhood of Eagle Point, with 6-mile runners completing 2 laps, and 9-mile runners completing 3, making it easy for all abilities to participate!

Thanksgiving Day Cruise on Miss Liberty

November 24th, 2016 from 10:00am – 11:30am

Celebrate Thanksgiving Day with your friends and family on-board the Miss Liberty. Enjoy the spectacular Big Bear Lake fall views on our 1 1/2 hour Thanksgiving Day cruise.

Santa’s Grand Entrance and Tree Lighting

November 25th, 2016 from 5:00pm – 10:00pm

Come and enjoy the festivities at Santa’s Grand Entrance in the Village. Entertainment starts at at 5:00pm, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in Santa’s sleigh at at 6:00pm. Santa will also be at the Christmas Tree Lot every weekend from 10am-4 pm until December 24th.

32nd Annual Mountain Christmas Boutique at the Big Bear Convention Center

November 25th-27th, 2016 from 10:00am – 5:00pm

Let the shopping season begin!  The 32nd annual Mountain Christmas Boutique kicks-off the holiday shopping season at Big Bear Lake.  This year’s arts and crafts show once again takes place over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, November 25-27 at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center and features 40+ vendors, free arts & crafts for children, and holiday libations and food.

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Big Bear City Fire Department

November 26th, 2016 from 5:00pm – 6:00pm

The Big Bear City Fire Department will host the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 26th, 2016. Everyone is invited to join the festivities starting at 5:00pm. The tree will light up promptly at 5:30pm.

Following the official tree lighting, Santa Claus will make a special visit to the Fire Station. Children are encouraged to bring their wish list to give to Santa! Families are asked to bring a plate of cookies to share; hot coffee and cider will be provided.

Christmas in the Village with Santa and Mrs. Claus

Every Saturday and Sunday, from November 26th – December 24th, 10:00am – 04:00pm

The Village of Big Bear Lake presents Christmas in the Village every Saturday and Sunday until December 24th. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Christmas Tree Lot from 10am-4pm at the Corner of Pine Knot Blvd and Village Drive, as well as all the shops and restaurants throughout the Village that will be open all day into the evening!

Annual New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade at Snow Summit

December 31st, 2016 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Come enjoy an annual tradition — our New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade.

Join us slope side and watch as skiers and snowboarders descend the dark slopes of Snow Summit lit only by the torches they carry. It’s a great way to kick off your New Year’s celebrations. Following the parade we will be two fantastic parties at Snow Summit.
