Whitney McIntyre Miller, Ph.D.

Dr. Whitney McIntyre Miller is an Assistant Professor of Leadership Development in the College of Educational Studies at Chapman University. She is an expert not only in leadership theory, but also in connecting theory to practice and action. Whitney is masterful at the art of listening and dialogue, and she facilitates leadership growth in the areas of personal development, building relationships and coalitions, and examining systems and structures to promote sustaining change.

Whitney has been to over 40 countries for work, study, and leisure, including extended time in Bosnia-Herzegovina as an elections monitor, Russia for language study, and Sierra Leone for leadership and community development research. She has wide-ranging experiences in various sectors, and in organizations ranging from small and local, to multi-national, and many in between. Whitney publishes in a variety of areas of leadership, including leadership in international contexts, leadership for community development, and peace leadership. Her work can be found in various journals and books.
