Zip Line Puts Trust to the Test to Develop Your TEAM

Develop Your Team
To develop your team, you must start with each individual first. They set you up in a harness, put a helmet on your head, and the only thing you can do is have trust in the equipment. The type of harness most zip line businesses use can hold up to 5,000 pounds. This should make you feel a little more comfortable. But does it?
Even though you know the harness will hold you and the workers are all trained professionals, you still may not trust the system fully. When it comes down to it, if you want to go zip lining, you will have to have trust.
Having that initial trust will help you take that first step off of the platform and then you will feel a reassuring bounce of the cable. It’s all smooth sailing from there. The equipment you had put your trust in, had followed through and kept you safe.
Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
Trust isn’t the only thing zip-lining forces you to overcome. It also forces you to step out of your comfort zone. Even though you zip line by yourself, you’re not doing it alone. You have your entire team behind you or in front of you, cheering you on.
Stepping outside of your comfort zone will help lead you to personal growth. It challenges you and gets you out of your normal habit or routine. Reaching new heights involves the risk of attempting something we might not succeed at.
Putting yourself in uncomfortable situations can help you perform at your peak. It will also make it a little easier and more likely that you’ll do it again.
As children we aren’t afraid of anything and are natural risk-takers. As we mature and age, we learn to fear failure. This results in holding ourselves back and placing ourselves in our comfort zone.
We need to get out of this zone and learn to not only put trust into what we do, but also within ourselves.
De-stress Yourself
Zip-lining is also good for de-stressing. It’s new and exciting and will help you let go of your worries. It is an all consuming experience that will take your mind off of the stress.
After your first run, you will feel better about trust, you will have challenged your comfort zone, and blown away your stress.
