Troubleshooting Teamwork
Having trouble with teamwork? Or maybe you’re teamwork is just fine, but there’s always room for improvement!
One of our favorite team bonding exercises is the Office Olympics.
This allows everyone to compete, bond, and strengthen your team for the best outcome! It is structured enough for everyone to feel included and not overwhelmed with having to make too many decisions. Some of the participants may feel out of place, since this isn’t there normal work routine. This is normal and we suggest to encourage everyone along the way, so you can get the best possible outcome and build your teamwork.
Any Size, Any Team
Office Olympics can be done with a large or small group of participants. No matter what size your company is, you can hold an Office Olympics. Any industry works as well. Whether you’re in the food industry or in the newspaper industry, teamwork is essential, therefore, a team building exercise is too. It’s fun and competitive. It is also simple enough for anyone to participate in.
The Course
This is all up to you and what you want to choose for your company. We have come up with a list of ideas we like to incorporate into our Office Olympics and will share it below! We think it works best when you switch up the course each time you do it, to promote a different way of thinking. It is also beneficial to mix up the teams if you want to do the course multiple times or each time you hold an Office Olympics.
Beach Volleyball
Relay Race
Dodge-ball
Tug-O-War
Rock Climbing Race (Whoever gets to the top and rings the bell wins!)
